The reporting firm's Schedule Page contains a form for schedulers to enter information and submit a request for a deposition via e-mail. The caption and/or logo is HTML-enabled, if the reporting firm enabled these features. If so, you can click hyperlinks or the logo to visit web pages that are outside DepoSchedule, as defined by the reporting firm (for example, the reporting firm's web site).
If you want to schedule a deposition with the reporting firm, enter information into the following fields:
Scheduling attorney: Enter the name of the attorney with whom the deposition is being scheduled.
Firm name: Enter the name of the law firm to which the taking attorney belongs.
Contact name: Enter the name of the person with whom the reporting firm should confirm.
Phone number: Enter the telephone number at which the reporting firm can contact you.
Email: Enter the e-mail address at which you want to receive all responses to your request. Make sure that your email address is correct. All responses to your request will be sent to this address.
Case name/Matter: Enter the name of the case or matter for which this deposition is being scheduled.
Case number: Enter the case number.
Case date: Enter the date the case was filed.
Deponent: Enter the first and last name of the deponent.
Proceeding date: Enter the date of the deposition.
Proceeding time: Enter the start time of the deposition.
Estimated duration: Enter the length of time you expect the deposition to last.
Estimated # of attendees: Enter the number of people you expect to attend the deposition.
Location: Enter the location at which the deposition will take place.
Expedited: Select Yes for an expedited transcript.
Realtime needed: Select Yes if you require a realtime reporter.
Videographer needed: Select Yes if you require a videographer.
Interpreter needed: Select Yes if you require an interpreter.
Language: Enter the language for which you need an interpreter.
Additional comments: Enter any other comments you would like to add.
Click Send request to submit the request to the reporting firm. The Request a Deposition web page displays a message, and you receive an e-mail from RealLegal with the same message, as follows:
Subject: Deposition Request from DepoSchedule
Thank you for requesting the services of [Reporting Firm] for the following proceedings:
If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, please contact [Reporting Firm] at [phone number].
The reporting firm will respond in one of two ways:
Accept: If the reporting firm accepts your request, you will receive an e-mail from the reporting firm indicating the acceptance and confirming the details. The subject line may read, "Your Deposition Schedule request."
Decline: If the reporting firm declines your request, you will receive an e-mail from the reporting firm indicating the declination and the reason for it. The subject line may read, "Unable to schedule your request."
